Our Planes
Most of the Sky Gypsies fly Air
creation, four-stroke kite-wing planes. It's not an
accident - they're simply the safest, most comfortable,
highest performance kite-wings available. And they
look cool. We can't be Sky Gypsies and not look cool.
The wing of choice for long distance flight is the
Air creation Ixess. |

A nearly full house in La Cholla |
When powered with a Rotax 912, the Ixess will fly at 80 miles
per hour with a range of nearly 300 miles. The wing of choice
for close-in exploration is the Air Creation Fun 450. It feels
like a butterfly, and because of its low speed and high maneuverability,
it safely fits into tight spaces in canyons, gorges and between
rock formations. The Fun 450 was traditionally coupled with
tiny two stroke engines because very little power is needed
to make it fly. John, the derelict, decided one day to put
one on the powerful 912 chassis, and in the process invented
the rocket powered butterfly. It still won't fly more than
45 miles per hour, but it will climb at a frightening rate
and do fascinating things. It's now his favorite combo.
